Travis Broughman quickly answered for the Lakers, however, with a game-tying goal late in the first period. The assists came from line-mates Alex DiCarlo and Connor Sleeth.
Ethan Homitz would break the tie in the second period, as the Dragons’ captain put one around Steven Kozikoski. Donegan would pick up the assist. That would end scoring for the Dragons, however, as the Lakers dominated the third period. Travis Broughman would score twice to complete a hat trick, his first career hat trick.
