OSWEGO, NY- The Oswego State Lakers women’s soccer team played a strong Hamilton College team on Tuesday, looking to move their record above .500. However, their record would instead drop below .500, moving to 5-6 as they fall to the Continentals 3-1 in regulation.
Oswego struck first for their only goal of the game. Graisa Madden scored the first goal of her senior season with the assists coming in from Elizabeth Meyers and Katie Delgrosso. The goal came just under 7 minutes into regulation.
Hamilton went ahead and scored their three goals without any answer from Oswego. Rylie Mutton scored a goal unassisted 16 minutes in. After a 40 minute drought between goals, Hyla Mosher would score with an assist by Caroline Dawson just after the 63rd minute. Dawson would assist the next goal, with Shayna Polasky putting that goal in off the assist.
Hamilton’s offense was strong all day. They managed 12 shots on goal compared to Oswego’s 2 on the day.
Oswego’s last three games will be the most difficult test of their season. Three SUNYAC games end their year, as they face Cortland, New Paltz, and Oneonta on the road to end their season.
