Oswego, N.Y. – The Oswego State Field Hockey team improved to 3-0 on the season Saturday after another dominating win, beating Wells College with a final score of 12-0.
The first half, was pure domination from the Lakers as eight different players scored ten goals, two from the 2019 leading scorer Annie O’Neil. Kaitlyn Mastracco had two goals of her own in the first half as the two juniors put on a show in front of the Oswego faithful. The defense was fantastic as well, as the Express did not have one shot on goal in the first half.
Oswego slowed down as they scored just two goals in the second half to beat the Express 12-0. The Lakers had 43 shots on goals as the Lakers defense held Wells to just one shot the entire game. Oswego State has played a total of 12 quarters this season and allowing 0 goals. They are outscoring their opponents 23-0 and are three-quarters of the way to matching their season total of four from 2019.
The Lakers will look to improve to 4-0 on the year against Sage College on Wednesday, September 8th at 6:30 on Laker Turf.
