Welcome to the new WNYO website. Designed and created in under a week, the Executive Board at WNYO is happy to have you on our site. Take a look around, listen to some hits, and let us know what you think.

This new website represents the finishing touch on a 4-year long project to propel WNYO into the future. To put this all into context, back in 2017 we began the process of upgrading our facilities. After lots of drinks, tears, long nights, and over $100,000, we have succeeded in our mission to make WNYO the best college radio station in the SUNY system.

Because of this project we now have 3 studios at our disposal. Studio 1, our podcasting studio, Studio 2 our production editing suite, and Studio Main, our broadcast studio, which pumps content directly to 88.9 FM in the Oswego area, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. We have outfitted these studios with state-of-the-art Wheatstone E-6 & L8 audio consoles meaning we have the best equipment imaginable.

With the purchase of WideOrbit Automation for Radio, we replaced our decaying automation system while providing students with the professional standard in automation. Actual equipment and software used in the professional field here at WNYO will help train the next generation of broadcasters.

We are a nationally recognized, award-winning radio station after a push from our Advisor Dr. David Crider to get us to submit to more competitions. Shows at WNYO have won at both the national and state level in recent years, most notably our live hockey coverage and Matt & Carl in the Morning.

Now finally we have this beautiful website courtesy of the hard of our team here at WNYO, with a little help from Qantum Themes.

We cannot thank everyone who helped make this happen enough. Your hard work really paid off and just know that the best is yet to come. Now that we have this amazing foundation it’s only upwards from here.

If you would like to be a part of this new chapter for WNYO head over to our Join page and we will get you connected with our staff. Whether you want to call live sports, work behind the scenes, get on the radio, or host a podcast about the misadventures of you and your friends we have plenty of things for you to do.
