Joey Palatsky is our Sports Director. As part of that role, Aaron is in charge of setting up all of our sports radio programs, podcasts, and live sports coverage.

Joey commentates an abundance of sports for WNYO including Men’s Basketball, Baseball and Volleyball as well as hosting his sports talk radio show In The Mic on WNYO every Monday from 3:00-4:00 pm. Joey has had a handful of roles including WNYO, ESPN 104.5 The Team, and the Albany Dutchmen.

Our Sports Department was nationally recognized for our coverage of Oswego Lakers Hockey in 2019 when we were awarded ‘Best Play-by-Play’ in the country by College Broadcasters Inc.

While most sports are broadcast over Stream 2, we do broadcast SUNYAC playoffs and Men’s Hockey on our FM broadcast and Stream 1. We are the only live source for away hockey games and we take pride in making every broadcast great. We know the players and their families certainly appreciate it.
