OSWEGO, NY- The Oswego State field hockey team was looking for a big win in the lead-up to their SUNYAC matchup versus SUNY Geneseo on Saturday against Saint Lawrence. However, the Lakers were unable to capitalize, as they fell to St. Lawrence 2-0 on Tuesday.

St. Lawrence struck early and late for the only two goals of the matchup. McKenzie Haberl scored the first goal of her career on a breakaway just 5 minutes into the second period without assistance. St. Lawrence would put the second and final goal up late, as Marlee Patterson would score with less than 5 minutes left in regulation.

Alyssa DeMicheal mustered two shots on goal for Oswego, with Kacie Simzer also contributing a shot on goal. Erica Schblein had a good day in the goal, with 6 spectacular saves despite the two goals St. Lawrence scored.
